I have a small disclaimer (and irritation:). Pictures of our trip will be forthcoming....I have camera issues! If you know me, you know that I love snapping photos and then editing them to give them just the right "touch". Back in the fall, I dropped my camera while tailgating at an IU football game. *Sad*:( It has been in for repair since early December. A dear, sweet friend of mine let me borrow her camera for our trip. *Happy*:) When the battery died last night, I got the charger out and.....it is the wrong one! *Very Sad*:(( We are heading into town today to try to find a battery charger. Once all of this goes down and I have a moment to "do my thing", there will be some amazing Hawaii photos for you to view. *VERY HAPPY*!!
Aloha, for now.....
A blog bringing you the life and times of the Wagner family.....and a place for me to look back when my memory fails me:) ENJOY!! I know we are! ****"He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." Job 8:21****

ALOHA HAWAII!! Travel Day!:)
Aloha!
Five years ago, I let my sweet husband know that for our 20th wedding anniversary I wanted a trip to Hawaii (we were SO young when we got married and didn't really have a honeymoon) and a big piece of jewelry. Well, today was the big travel day to Hawaii (I'm still waitin' on the big piece of jewelry, but....I may take a hot tub instead!:). All said, things went VERY well. Our flight out of Indy was delayed, delayed, delayed. Things worked out perfectly though as we stepped off of our plane in Atlanta, walked to the next, and got right on. We had a big of a layover at LAx where we grabbed some grub and recouped before getting on the flight to HAWAII! We landed in Kahului, where we stepped off the plane and were shortly walking to baggage claim down a long outdoor hallway....AAAHHHHH...the salty smell of ocean air. LOVE IT! We got our rental car (a really cool jeep!:) and headed out to find our accomodations for night one. Dennis took the sides off the soft top of the jeep, so we got to enjoy the night air and the WONDERFUL Hawaiian temperatures.
The drive to Huelo Lookout-Star Lookout was uneventful (thanks to the owners who had compiled PERFECT directions for us.....Huelo Lookout is a little off the beaten path:) and we were greeted very warmly by the owner, Sharyn. Sharyn ROCKS! She had things prepared so nicely for us! Windows were open, beautiful Hawaiian flowers were scattered about, chocolates and wine chilling in the refigerator, hot tub heating up, fresh eggs in the fridge, pineapple and bananas picked fresh on their property were on the counter, and other pastries and yummies waiting for us for breakfast in the morning. Oh...did I mention that she even had the towel warmer on warming towels for us?? I think I LOVE you, Sharyn!! :)
So, we got the jeep unloaded, took a quick look around, poured ourselves some organic wine (did I mention that I LOVE Sharyn??) and jumped in the hot tub. OH MY GOSH! HEAVEN!! My body was so screamin' at me after that long travel day and that amazing, powerful, HOT tub took it all away. Somebody was really using his/her noggin' when that thing was invented. After some time in "the tub" listening to unfamiliar, yet peaceful, sounds, we headed to bed. A little Jason Castro playing, nice Hawaiian breeze blowing through the loft, and my hubby of 20 years by my side....I slept like a baby!!
